The lush setting features patio and garden seating surrounded by tropical blooms and sunbirds drinking nectar. It’s a delight, though portions are on the small side.

In a new location, this wonderful expat institution does wood-fired pizzas and the best coffee in town. Bored with local food? Dig into a Bali burger with mango curry or Thai beef salad. Close to the airport, Faze 3 is a solid choice for dining out. It is a spacious , comfortable restaurant with ample indoor and outdoor seating, blessed with a panoramic view of Lake Victoria and the old airport. Its outdoor decking is a top spot to catch lake breezes while feasting on anything from roast pork to tilapia (Nile perch) tikka, chicken-schnitzel burger or a good ol’ meat pie.

The atmosphere is great, but under new administration the food is somewhat average.
